Editorial policy
This page states how novislav.online is written, checked, funded and corrected. It is a standing commitment, not a statement of intent, and you can hold us to it using the corrections procedure in section 7.
1. Who writes this site
Content is written and signed by named people. William Davis, acting for BETOPOL s.r.o., is the director of publication and is editorially responsible for everything published here. Every article carries a byline, a publication date and a date on which the facts were last checked.
We do not publish anonymous articles, we do not publish articles under invented author names, and we do not publish text supplied by an advertiser as though it were our own editorial.
2. How we establish facts
Our order of preference for sources is:
- The publisher's or developer's own published material — official site, patch notes, store listing. This is the authority on its own product.
- The storefront listing — for price, monetisation model, platform support, age rating and declared anti-cheat software.
- Established reference works, used for dates and history and named in the article.
- Community documentation, used only where nothing better exists, and always labelled as community-sourced in the text.
Every article lists the sources consulted. Where a source is a community wiki or a forum, we say so rather than letting it pass as authoritative.
3. What we do when we cannot verify something
We hedge it in the text, or we leave it out. We do not fill a gap with a plausible-looking number. If you find a figure on this site, it came from a source we have named.
We deliberately avoid publishing statistics that a game's developer can change in a patch — damage values, prices, tier rankings — because a guide built on them is misleading within weeks. We explain mechanics instead.
Where anything we publish diverges from information published by the developer or publisher of the product concerned, their information prevails.
4. How this site is funded
novislav.online is funded by affiliate commission. When a reader follows a link marked partner link and then takes an action the partner pays for, BETOPOL s.r.o. receives a commission. The reader pays nothing extra: the commission comes out of the partner's margin, not out of your pocket.
That is the whole of the funding model. We sell no display advertising, we run no advertising network, we accept no payment for coverage, and we do not sell links inside editorial text.
Commercial links are disclosed four times over: in a bar at the very top of every page, in a
box immediately below the headline before any promotional content, in a visible label on every
button including those in sidebars, and in a note underneath each call to action. In the page
source they carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener".
5. Advertiser independence
No commercial partner sees an article before it is published, approves it, or has any right to alter it. No partner can have a paragraph removed. Our commercial relationships do not decide our editorial conclusions, and where a product has a drawback that a reader should know about — a kernel-level anti-cheat driver, an in-game economy that rewards spending, a rating that makes it unsuitable for a younger player — that drawback is stated in the article, next to the commercial link, not hidden from it.
If we could not honestly recommend that a reader consider a product, we would not carry the link. The alternative is to be paid for misleading people, which is both wrong and, under the advertising policies we operate within, prohibited.
6. What we refuse to publish
These are hard rules. We do not:
- invent testimonials, reader stories, quotes or case studies, or present editorial copy as a reader's personal experience;
- publish star ratings, scores or review counts that are not the result of a stated method, and we never invent them;
- manufacture urgency — no countdown timers, no "offer ends tonight", no fake stock levels, no invented number of people viewing the page;
- claim or imply a guaranteed result, guaranteed earnings, or a guaranteed in-game outcome;
- imply that we are affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by a brand we write about when we are not;
- use a brand's logo, artwork or screenshots to suggest an association we do not have. The illustrations on this site are original diagrams drawn for it;
- disguise a commercial link as an editorial one, or strip disclosure attributes from links at runtime;
- publish superlative comparative claims — "the best", "unmatched", "better than" — that we cannot substantiate.
7. Corrections
We correct errors, and we say that we have.
- Write to info@novislav.online with the page address and what is wrong. Include a source if you have one.
- We acknowledge substantive reports within five working days.
- If the report is right, we fix the page and update its "last checked" date.
- Where the error was material — a fact a reader could reasonably have acted on — we add a dated correction note to the article itself saying what was wrong and what it now says. We do not quietly rewrite history.
- If we disagree, we reply and explain why, and we publish your objection alongside if you ask us to.
Articles on this site already carry such notes where the earlier version of the page was corrected.
8. Privacy as an editorial decision
We collect nothing from readers: no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting, no third-party requests of any kind. This is deliberate. A site that lectures readers about being careful with their money has no business quietly monetising their browsing. The cookie policy explains how to confirm this yourself in under a minute.
